The tropical fruit world

If you happen to be in the area, visit this place without a second thought. Although it’s obviously destined for kids, adults are having a good time there, too.

Tickets should be bought online in advance and they include a tropical fruit tasting, a ride on a “tractor-train” and a ride on a boat.

For the fruit tasting part you are offered with a plate of locally grown fruit, both native and adopted. Some native fruits are not found at supermarkets and fruit shops, probably due to their weird taste 🤨. But adopted varieties like mango or dragonfruit feel good here in Australia and bring sweet and lovely fruit.

We stopped on the way taste to bananas and macadamia literally “fresh from the tree”. There are nutcrackers installed near the trees, so enjoyment is guaranteed 😉

Here is how native herbs and fruits look like. These are used as spices mostly. None of these “fruits” have real fruity taste.

Before boarding on the boat, we had some time with farm animals. You can also feed them, with fodder exclusively provided on the spot, $1 a pack 😀.

The “river cruise” was actually pretty simple. You can feed water birds and animals (if you spot any, besides ducks 😀) with… guess what… the seeds bought at the spot. 😀

As a final touch, we spent some time at a playground and then proceeded to the cafe.

And finally, me. With an unusual Christmas tree 😀

  1. I love the “banana” poster and the blueberries are gigantic!!!

    1. Those are not blueberries ;-). It’s a native plant which doesn’t tastes as blueberry even close ;-).
