I don’t know whether it’s a new thing or it happens every year as I’ve heard of it this year for the first time. At St.Mary’s cathedral in Sydney’s centre, there is a light show in the Christmas period, worth visiting at least once. We have observed two scenarios as we had to run for the last ferry, but maybe there is more to see. What we’ve seen is quite amazing though.
We arrived at the church at 19:45, well in advance for the 8pm Mass, but by that time not only there was no place to sit, but also standing appeared to be complicated. We listened for one choral and were ought to go out.
When it got a bit darker, the light show started (about 20:20).
