Mayfield gardens

There is a place called Oberon behind the Blue Mountains, also above 1000m high, about 3 hours drive from Sydney. Nicely done, a good choice for a day trip.

Fun begins at parking: pumpkins in the flowerbeds 😄

The cafe, though looking humble, serves you well: local produce, all fresh and tasty.

Have a stroll through the gardens, enjoy natural colors, sounds and smells. It’s definitely worth coming here when ground covering flowers are in bloom: irises, tulips etc. There are plenty of name boards giving ideas of what to expect in the right season.

There is a lake where you can paddle as long as you want:
