03/01-04/01 Coral sea

On the way back to Sydney, the ship started rocking. There has been a thunderstorm zone which the captain managed to avoid, however rocking was perceptible. I went out one morning to watch the waves and the wind was so strong that I couldn’t open the door and first thought that the door was closed.

But happily enough, no one in the family suffered from the rocks (but myself – and not too much in the end). On the other hand, it was not “pretty nothing” as we heard from the crew. Although it was quite scary to think about the depths we were passing by.

Thus, no activity came to harm: the stage performances went on and one day the actors showed us their backstage.

Among other things we did in our spare time, we took part in a 5km walk for a good cause! We helped to raise money for a few international organisations researching cancer. To the loving memory of…. well, the readers know.

We also watched a demonstration where stateroom attendants explained how they fold towels into animals:

Below are a few pics without a topic – just memories:

Bye, 🚢! But we want more!

  1. Are the pics of the towels the results of your folding training? The monkey deserves a praise.
What a nice initiative to do a 5km “walk for a good cause”. If I am in BXL for the 10km “Pink run” I go for it…

    1. No dear, those I surprised we found every evening in our rooms ;-). And the session was more a presentation than a training ;-). Especially Evelyn and I had to leave before end – for the purpose of the walk.
When is he walk in BRU?
