Luganville

30/12: Luganville, Vanuatu

By this time kids got very tired, this we cancelled the excursion we booked in advance and left the kids onboard the ship. We would catch a taxi and see what happens. It turned out that we met Chris – a funny guy who drove us to a touristic place (“Blue hole”) ahead of tourists and also around the city.

Chris claimed that this has once been a military airfield:

This place – Blue Hole – is a tiny sweet water lake, but deep right from its shore. We arrived about 10 min before the tourist bus and had the whole of it for only 2 of us.

We didn’t dare to miss the beach of course 😉

On the way back to the ship we passed by an open market in order to buy a real organic super-puper juicy-smoothy pineapple. Chris knew the business and selected a very good one.

Vanuatu’s money – a souvenir for Evelyn 😀

aditionally, the day finished with creativity, first from the cooks:

and later from the room attendants 😉
