28/12: Mystery Island, Vanuatu 
Today we arrived to the outskirts of Vanuatu – one of the smallest islands of this archipelago.
After the beach time, we visited a local village. They met us with a gift of peace (a green leaf to be worn as an earring – married on the right side and single – on the left) and a warrior dance: 
Then we’ve been explained about the local daily life and customs. We even tried a specialty cooked for us (a “spinach” leaf stuffed with tapioca and coconut milk): 
People in Vanuatu used to be warriors and cannibals. A defeated enemy would usually have been eaten. Since arrival of the first Catholic missionary in the 19th century, the tribal wars ended and cannibalism too. The locals live a simple life and as they say themselves, they are all (across tribes) brothers and sisters now and they are very happy to be Christians. They have shown us the oldest copy of Bible in their local language.
