Bush fires are a real threat in Australia. To prevent them, the city council burns the bush in the outback following a regulated plan. When that happens, the neighboring suburbs smell like overbaked picnic. Luckily we live near a beach and most of the time that smell either doesn’t reach us or gets winded away quite quickly.
