The Great Ocean Road and Twelve Apostles

It takes about 4,5 hours drive from Melbourne along the coastal road to reach the world-famous landmark  Twelve Apostles. The spot is fantastic and certainly worth a visit, especially with the rocks being destroyed by erosion and there are only 7 or 8 left now.

There is not much to say…. just watch 😉

First the “Great Ocean Road” (by the way, it’s not only a romantic name like for example, “l’Autoroute du Soleil” in France, but also a real street with addresses in the towns the road goes through) views:

Some other “road notes”:

A sign seen along the Great Ocean road only. Like seriously, if someone has not figured this out by the time of reaching this sign, it might be too late for the dude…

We reached the Apostles exactly in minutes by sunset. I spent some time walking with Anton, so my pictures are not as spectacular as Evelyn’s, so let’s hope she’ll share them with us, too 😉

Attention Pokémon-goers, there is a real one around 🤣

And then there was a drive back in the darkness and our car was a bit hungry and we passed by two useless gas stations (one was closed and the other one served diesel only) and then it became this:

With this image we drove for about 10 km before we finally reached a real gas station:

So this one will be the last pic in this post (unless Evelyn decides to add some gorgeous sunset landscapes ;-)).
